About Marty's Corner

Marty’s Corner is a live one hour Late Night Variety Talk Show in the tradition of Merv Griffin, Dick Cavett and Steve Allen. The show is in its 15th season, making it one of the longest running television programs in Southern California history. Marty’s Corner has been honored with a 2004 Wave Award nomination and a 2005 Emmy nomination.

Marty’s past guests have included Romper Room’s Miss Mary Anne King, Rosie and The Originals, Tom Hatten from “Popeye And Friends,” novelists Peter Craig and Rob Roberge, great bands like Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods, Pretty In Stereo and the Wise guys, comedian Gabriel Iglacias, and the late Billy Barty. Marty has seen UFOs and ghosts, he’s square danced, he’s wrestled, he’s handled flying squirrels and gators, and his audience has been hypnotized, tattooed and pierced.

The show has traveled back in time on occasion. Once, Marty’s Corner became a hip, swinging 1965 cocktail party. And recently Marty took an authentic trip back to 1944 Paris for a Bob Hope style USO show

Marty's Corner has become the premiere venue for alternative music acts, local talent and politics, and all things slightly offbeat.

Marty’s viewership is aged 8 to 80. His writers are brilliant.
